Workplace Campaigns
The fall is also the time that most workplace campaigns are run. Our workplace campaign co-ordinators are instrumental volunteers, who help United Way CKL raise a significant percentage of the campaign total every year.
Workplace campaigns can be as quick or as involved as the co-ordinator wants. Some workplace campaigns are comprised of one special event, with proceeds going to United Way. Other workplace campaign co-ordinators oversee several events through the campaign period and of course, pledges to United Way through payroll deduction is a simple way to support your community.
When you give...lives change
Payroll deduction is a simple way to support your community and will automatically appear on your T-4 slip as being a charitable donation, and your gift of even $1 per week really adds up.
Reasons to Give:
$1 a week provides one hour of safe, supportive affordable housing for a woman and her children.
$1 a week provides a client with 5 trips to local dialysis treatment in Community Care wheelchair accessible vehicles.
$2 a week provides full day children programs for the entire March break.
$4 a week provides hotel room, hygiene kits, groceries and a set of clothes for an individual displaced via fire or natural disaster.
$5 a week provides eight CNIB clients with white support canes.
$7 a week provides Medical First Responder Training for one volunteer.
$10 a week allows 52 families to participate in education workshops to support their learning disabled child.
$10 a week provides a child from a single parent family with a big brother, big sister or big couple

United Way CKL is your one stop charitable giving site. No more scrambling for tax receipts at tax time. Through UW CKL you can designate your charitable gifts to only registered charitable organizations.
If you live in the City of Kawartha Lakes, but are employed in another city, you may direct your workplace donation to your community.
As a donor, you may specify the community and direct your gift to specific agencies or community projects. Call us for assistance.
