Campaign Highlights

Every year, the United Way for the City of Kawartha Lakes holds an annual fundraising “campaign,” to support local agencies that deliver critical programs for our families and neighbours. The purpose of a collective effort is to reduce fundraising resources for non-profit agencies allowing each to concentrate on their vital work. The main campaign focus is from September to December, but with increased demands and community enthusiasm and partnerships, there are many events year round.

To date the 2011 campaign has seen the largest ever Crayola Sale-$40,000 which is an 8% increase over previous years. The second annual Bases for Life resulted in a home run for the United Way raising more money than 2010. The 100 Mile Dinner was a sell out once again with diners enjoying the delicious bounty of our local agricultural producers. New events such as the A&W Day raised not just $$$$ but awareness of the United Way and its work within the Community.
