Sunday, July 31, 2011 - 14th Annual Coboconk Duck Derby
Tickets are on sale now in stores throughout the Village of Coboconk and Lions Club members, at Hill's Florist and Investor's Group in Lindsay, through United Way board and cabinet members as well as at the United Way office. Tickets cost $5 each, or 3/$10. This year, enjoy all cash prizes - $500 for first place, $400 for second, $300 for third, $200 for fourth and $100 for fifth.
Saturday, May 28, 2011 - Great Kawartha Road Cruise
The winners of our inaugural Great Kawartha Road Cruise were Tom and Tracey Murphy. The Murphy family (below) won the rental of a Happy Days House Boat. A&W was a fantastic host for the event, and participants enjoyed stops at the Highlands Cinemas and Movie Museum, Kawartha Settlers' Village and the Lilac Festival of Lindsay. Saturday, Oct. 16, 2010 – Crayola Sale
Thank you, thank you, thank you! Almost 2,000 shoppers helped raise $37,000 for United Way at the 22nd annual Crayola Sale. This is our single largest fundraiser of the year, and draws crowds from across central Ontario Extra special thanks to the staff, retirees and volunteers of Crayola.

United Way supporter Jordan Bress organized a mixed slow pitch tourney for United Way, held at Wilson Fields. Thank you to the 9 teams that participated in the event. Thank you to all the sponsors of the tournament and home run derby.

Friday September 10, 2010 – Barry Devolin Run
Barry Devolin’s staff organized a run with proceeds to support United Way. There was a 5K run and 1K Community Challenge. This was a great event that brought serious runners and families out to the fairgrounds. Thank you to Barry and his staff for organizing ths event. The draw for two Air Canada tickets was drawn right after the race. Congratulations to Bill Charlton, ticket number 156, on his win.
